About Me & Research

Short Bio:
I am interested in how symbionts are generated, maintained, and persists in the host in evolutionary timeframe. Further keen to understand how symbiont diversity is leads to speciation using natural and experimental settings.

Research Interests:

  • Symbiont evolution
  • Co-evolutionary host-symbiont dynamics
  • Experimental Evolution and speciation

Current Projects:
Experimental evolution of inherited symbionts in novel hosts.

Fun Fact:
  • My non-research persona is bee and I am infamous in the friend’s group for various bee products at home. I love parasitoid waspssss (aren’t they fascinating, how cannot they be?
  • if not in the office/lab then you’d find me hiking ideally in harsh landscapes
